A Giant, Lego-Like Ice Castle Is Heading To Bryant Park

Calling all ice queens and Frozen fanatics! If you’ve been waiting to live out your Elsa fantasies IRL (or at least for the Insta), we suggest you stick around Bryant Park for the ideal photo op. This weekend marks the start of the annual Winter Carnival, a free, open-to-the-public series of programs celebrating the season. From ice skating and performances to a silent disco and Live Band Karaoke, this sprawling outdoor space is truly a one-stop-shop when it comes to heating up these chilly nights.

While the schedule is full of fun events through February 4th, the main attraction is most definitely the 3rd iteration of the EverBlock “Ice” Castle, a life-size, neon-lit structure made of giant, Lego-like EverBlocks. Each year the construction has only gotten more and more ambitious, so this time we’re expecting a truly impressive palace fit for a Disney Princess. Sure, it technically has no roof or insulation, but the cold never bothered us anyway – especially if it means getting an amazing ‘gram.
